I wish I had been assigned Michelle Tea's Rose of No Man's Land to read as a young adult. Tea's characters are believable, her 14 year-old protagonist's adventure to self-discovery enthralled me so much that I read the book in one sitting. Now I can appreciate why my wife is such a big fan of Ms. Tea's works, I will be adding her other books to my future reading list.
My next book will be Luba: The Book Of Ofelia, by Gilbert Hernandez.
