This Week's Interesting DVD Releases (April 1st, 2008)

Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (or as I call it, Johnny Depp Sings! comes out on DVD this week.

Television releases out this week include the first season of Ted Danson in Becker, David Attenborough's BBC wildlife specials, the eighth season of That '70s Show, and the sixth season of Law and Order: Special Victims Unit

If you simply cannot wait to read John Darnielle's 33 1/3 book, Black Sabbath: Masters of Reality (officially out April 15th), you might want to pick up the DVD of the same name which features interviews and live performances by the band. Another music video worth checking out is Ani Difranco's Live at Babeville (watch the trailer). Horror Rock features the Dickies, so I will probably pick it up for that reason alone.

Can you recommend any new DVD releases this week? Anyone seen the Bruce Springsteen, Pearl Jam, Woody Guthrie or Genesis releases?
