This Week's Interesting DVD Releases (August 19th, 2008)
The first season DVD release of Gossip Girl is taking an interesting tack. Along with the series' first season episodes and the usual assortment of bloopers, commentaries, and interviews, a 3 hour abridged audiobook of the novel that inspired the series is also included.
Other notable television releases this week are the fourth season of House, M.D., the second season of Dexter, Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations Collection 3, and the first season of Terminator - The Sarah Connor Chronicles
This week the Criterion Collection releases Keisuke Kinoshita's Twenty-Four Eyes. Iam also looking forward to the Chinese documentray, Please Vote for Me, which covers the election of a third-grade class monitor.
