This Week's Interesting DVD Releases (January 13th, 2009)
Skins is one of the most refreshing teen comedies in years. The first season of the BBC series is available tomorrow on DVD, and is the lone highlight of the week's television releases.
I'm looking forward to a couple of documentaries this week. The Order of Myths chronicles the current segregation at Mobile's Mardi Gras. After watching King Corn this past month, Our Daily Bread is another welcome look at our food production cycle.
Two foreign film releases, Koji Tsuruta's Father of the Kamikaze and Pavel Lounguine's Taxi Blues sit at the top of my rental queue.
