This Week's Interesting Music Releases (January 13th, 2009)
Hold Steady keyboardist Franz Nicolay's solo album, Major General, is out tomorrow.
Vinyl reissues of Dead Can Dance'sSpleen and Ideal, the Jam's All Mod Cons, the Lemonheads' It's a Shame About Ray are tempting, as are three M83 vinyl reissues: Before the Dawn Heals Us, Digital Shades, Vol. 1, and Saturdays=Youth
Next week's release week is huge (new albums by Anthony and the Johnsons, Animal Collective, A.C. Newman, and that's just the artists beginning with "A"), so I am saving the bulk of the month's music budget for the January 20th releases.
