This Week's Interesting DVD Releases (January 20th, 2009)
The Powerpuff Girls: The Complete Series - 10th Anniversary Collection is a 6-disc set that collects all 78 episodes of the animated series, and includes a Christmas special that has never been aired in the United States.
Other notable television releases include Moonlight - The Complete Series and the third season of the BBC series Waking the Dead.
Among the feature films out this week, I am most excited about Saw V and the Criterion Collection's release of Gregory Nava's El Norte. Repo! The Genetic Opera, a horror opera musical, is the week's most intriguing movie release.
With the inauguration tomorrow, several DVDs centering on president-elect Barack Obama are released. Celebrate the historic day with President Barack Obama: The Man and His Journey, Biography: Barack Obama: Inaugural Edition, and Barack Obama: The Power of Hope.
