This Week's Interesting DVD Releases (June 9th, 2009)
Norman Lear TV Collection is a 19-DVD box set that includes the first seasons of his hit television series (All in the Family, Good Times, The Jeffersons, Maude, Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman (first 25 episodes), One Day at a Time, and Sanford & Son) as well as over six hours of bonus features, including interviews with Lear and the actors.
The other television DVD release I am looking forward to this week is the final season of The Shield.
Theatrical films of note out this week include Clint Eastwood's Gran Torino and Yury Khashchavatski's documentary about the 2006 Belarus presidential election Kalinovski Square (you'll see why Khashchavatski is often called "Minsk's Michael Moore").
Beef up your Blu-ray collections this week with Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Fatal Attraction, Indecent Proposal, and Predator 2.
