This Week's Interesting Music Releases (December 1st, 2009)
The first release day of the last month of the year brings slim pickings to music fans, which is probably a blessing for those of us putting together our year-end lists of albums and singles.
Of this short list, a couple of digital releases stand out.
Daniel, Fred & Julie is the debut album from Daniel Romano of Attack in Black, Fred Squire of Shotgun and Jaybird, and Julie Doiron, and is a collection of folk standards and original songs from the three well-respected songwriters.
Tristeza's Fate Unfolds also is highly recommended, one of the year's finest instrumental albums.
Manu Chao's live album Baionarena is probably the only other new album I will buy this week.
