This Week's Interesting Music Releases - August 3, 2010
The Arcade Fire's third album, The Suburbs, is out tomorrow. Though it didn't strike me as immediately as the band's debut, Funeral (one of my favorite albums of all time), or 2007's Neon Bible, this is still a wonderfully executed collection of music and one of the year's finest albums.
The relatively short music release list this week contains a surprising number of quality releases. From what I have already heard, I can definitely recommend Autolux's Transit Transit, underrated singer-songwriter David Dondero's # Zero with a Bullet, Lloyd Miller & The Heliocentrics' self-titled album, The Magic Numbers' The Runaway, Shapes and Sizes' Candle to Your Eyes, and Versus' On the Ones and Threes
JJ's JJ No. 2 is the highlight of the week's reissues.
