This Week's Interesting Music Releases - September 28, 2010
Neil Young releases his new album tomorrow, the Daniel Lanois-produced Le Noise, Young's best album in years.
The most intriguing release this week is Ben Folds & Nick Hornby's Lonely Avenue, where author Hornby wrote the lyrics to Folds' music.
Matador at 21 is a 6-CD box set of songs from the venerable indie label. Five of the discs are filled with remastered tracks by the label's bands, and one CD contains live performances from Matador's 10th anniversary party.
From what has already been sent my way, I can definitely recommend Abe Vigoda's Crush, Deerhunter's Halcyon Digest, Glasser's Ring, No Age's Everything in Between, and Women's Public Strain.
Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark returns this week with a new album, History of Modern.
David Bowie's Station To Station has been remastered and will be released tomorrow, and contains two bonus CDs containing the entire shows the live album was culled from.
Other reissues include 11 Peter Gabriel albums and an expanded edition of the The Dirty Projectors' Bitte Orca.
