This Week's Interesting DVD Releases - November 16, 2010
This week the Criterion Collection releases two classic American films, Charlie Chaplin's Modern Times and Charles Laughton's The Night of the Hunter.
Other theatrical releases this week are a mostly either holiday films or repackaged editions of previously released DVDs.
Among the new television releases, I am most interested in Heroes: The Complete Series. I gave up on this series midway through season two, but may give it another shot. Glee: Season 1 Giftset would make a great gift for fans of the show.
Frank Zappa: The Torture Never Stops captures Zappa's 1981 New York Halloween concerts, and is the music film I am most looking forward to watching.
The Shawshank Redemption and Children of the Corn lead the Blu-ray releases.
