This Week's Interesting Music Releases - January 18th, 2011
The Decemberists' The King is Dead is in stores tomorrow, and is easily the week's marquee music release.
My personal favorite new release is Braids' debut album Native Speaker. Other albums I have heard and can definitely recommend include Daniel Martin Moore's In the Cool of the Day, Dolorean's The Unfazed, Eulogies' Tear The Fences Down, Fergus & Geronimo's Unlearn, Smith Westerns' Dye It Blonde, and the much heralded Tennis's Cape Dory.
Pearl Jam's Live On Ten Legs collects eighteen live tracks from the band's 2003-2010 world tours.
Two remastered Jayhawks albums are available this week, Hollywood Town Hall and Jayhawks: Tomorrow The Green Grass (which comes with a bonus CD of unreleased demos). Other reissues out tomorrow include three Ladytron albums (604, Light & Magic, Witching Hour) and a vinyl edition of The Walkmen' You & Me (reissue) [vinyl].
