This Week's Interesting DVD Releases - January 25, 2011
Secretariat, the film about the 1973 Triple Crown winner that stars Diane Lane and John Malkovich, is in stores tomorrow.
Other feature films out tomorrow include the star-studded action adventure film Red and the Swedish film adaptation of Stieg Larsson's The Girl Who Kicked The Hornet's Nest.
The Criterion Collection has three releases this week, Broadcast News, a Blu-ray edition of The Double Life of Veronique, and Eclipse Series 25: Basil Dearden's London Underground (Sapphire, The League of Gentlemen, Victim, All Night Long), which collects four of the British director's films about postwar London.
Two documentaries I am looking forward to viewing are AKA Tommy Chong, which profiles the comedian, and At the Edge of the World, a film about modern sea piracy.
Television series in stores this week include the BBC series Mi-5: Volume 8, the animated She-Ra: The Complete Series, and Zorro: The Complete Series, which collects the early 1990s television show.
Blu-ray releases include The Color Purple, A Beautiful Mind, and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.
