This Week's Interesting DVD Releases - February 22nd, 2011
The sixth season of Weeds is in stores tomorrow.
The Criterion Collection releases three films this week, Andrea Arnold's Fish Tank, Luchino Visconti's Senso, and Alexander Mackendrick's Sweet Smell of Success.
Three documentaries stand out this week: Brutal Beauty: Tales Of The Rose City Rollers, a look at Portland's roller derby league, Two In The Wave, which chronicles the relationship between film directors Jean-Luc Godard and Francois Truffaut, and Comic Book Independents, which interviews twenty-four comic creators.
Carmo, Hit the Road, a Brazilian road film, is also highly recommended.
Among the week's Blu-ray releases are a 10th anniversary edition of Memento and 48 Hrs..
