This Week's Interesting DVD Releases - April 5, 2011
The fifth and final season of Friday Night Lights, one of my favorite television dramas, is in stores tomorrow.
Other television DVDs out this week include season four of the BBC's 19th century drama Lark Rise to Candleford, as well as a complete collection of the series' four seasons.
Tron: Legacy is the big theatrical release, and a special edition of its predecessor Tron: The Original Classic is also available.
The Chronicles Of Narnia: The Voyage Of The Dawn Treader and The Taqwacores (the film adaptation of Michael Muhammad Knight's book) are other theatrical highlights.
The Criterion Collection releases Eclipse Series 26: Silent Naruse tomorrow, which collects five early films (Flunky, Work Hard / No Blood Relation / Apart from You / Every-Night Dreams / Street Without End) by Japanese director Mikio Naruse.
Kubrick's Odyssey: Secrets Hidden in the Films: Part One: Kubrick and Apollo looks interesting.
Blu-ray releases this week include Taxi Driver, The People vs. Larry Flynt, and Benny & Joon.
