This Week's Interesting Music Releases - June 14th, 2011
Marissa Nadler's self-titled album is the week's new music release that has spent the most time in my headphones, and is one of the year's most impressive records.
I can also especially recommend Emmy the Great's Virtue, Neil Young's A Treasure (which I mistakenly had on last week's list), Smoke Fairies' Through Low Light & Trees, and Vetiver's The Errant Charm.
A remastered edition of Sebadoh's Bakesale is out this week, and includes a CD of bonus material. Other reissues worth noting are Paul McCartney's first two solo albums (McCartney and McCartney II (both remastered with a CD of bonus tracks) and a vinyl edition of Clap Your Hands Say Yeah's self-titled debut.
What new releases are you picking up this week? What can you recommend? Have I left anything noteworthy off the list?
