This Week's Interesting DVD Releases - July 12th, 2011
The Criterion Collection releases a Blu-ray edition of Mike Leigh's Naked tomorrow.
Other feature films of note this week include Strip-Tease (a 1962 movie that features Nico before she joined the Velvet Underground), the animated Rango, Uncle Boonmee Who Can Recall His Past Lives (the 2010 winner of the Palme d'Or at Cannes), and the thriller The Lincoln Lawyer.
Two film collections will appeal to the literary-minded, TCM Greatest Classic Films Collection: Literary Romance and TCM Greatest Classic Films Collection: Shakespeare.
Entourage: The Complete Seventh Season and ER: Season 15 (The Final Season) head up the week's television DVDs, along with Doctor Who: The Awakening - Episode 132, Doctor Who: The Gunfighters - Episode 25
MI-5: Volume 9, and America's Test Kitchen: Season 11.
Terry Gilliam's Brazil is available on Blu-ray.
