32 Down, 20 To Go - "Funeral for a Dog" (52 Books, 52 Weeks)
Thomas Pletzinger's Funeral for a Dog is an innovatively told and refreshingly complex novel. Pletzinger weaves the lives of two men, one a famous children's book author and the other an ethnologist turned journalist, in nonlinear fashion through the two narrators. Add in the mysterious Tuuli, a woman who appears at the author's retreat with her young son, and this became one of the year's most fascinating debuts.
My next book is Shannon Wheeler's comics collection Too Much Coffee man Omnibus Volume 1.
