This Week's Interesting Music Releases - September 6th, 2011
True Blood: Music From The HBO Original Series Volume 3 includes contributions from Nick Cave & Neko Case, Damien Rice, Massive Attack and others.
Other releases I have heard and can strongly recommend are Bon Iver's Holocene single, Charlotte Gainsbourg's Terrible Angels EP, and Peter Wolf Crier's Garden of Arms.
Listen To Me: Buddy Holly and Take It or Leave It: A Tribute to The Queens of Noise- The Runaways are two covers albums I am looking forward to.
A diverse assortment of vinyl reissues is in stores this week, including Animal Collective's Danse Manatee, four Grateful Dead releases (American Beauty, Anthem of the Sun, Aoxomoxoa, Workingman's Dead), two Leonard Cohen albums (Death of a Ladies Man and Various Positions), and many others.
