This Week's Interesting Music Releases - October 4th, 2011
Feist's Metals is in stores tomorrow, her first solo album since 2007's The Reminder.
From what has already crossed my desk, I can also recommend Bonnie 'Prince' Billy's Wolfroy Goes to Town, Colin Stetson's Those Who Didn't Run, Loney Dear's Hall Music, Talkdemonic's Ruins, and We Were Promised Jet Packs, In The Pit Of The Stomach.
The Lost Notebooks of Hank Williams is an interesting project, with Jack White, Bob Dylan, Lucinda Williams, and others fleshing out and performing unfinished Hank Williams music.
Vinyl reissues are once again plentiful, most notably the 4-LP box set of Nirvana's Nevermind. Three Dinosaur Jr albums are out again on vinyl: Bug, Dinosaur Jr, You're Living All Over Me.
Remastered albums include the Jesus & Mary Chain's Automatic and Honey's Dead (both with CDs of bonus material and DVD) and The Beach Boys' Christmas Album.
What new releases are you picking up this week? What can you recommend? Have I left anything noteworthy off the list?
