This Week's Interesting DVD Releases - October 25, 2011
Pearl Jam Twenty, Cameron Crowe's long awaited documentary about the band, is finally in stores today.
The Bridge School Concerts 25th Anniversary Edition, which features live performances by Neil Young, Bruce Springsteen, and others, Miles! The Definitive Miles Davis at Montreux DVD Collection (a 10-DVD box set), and the concert film Peter Gabriel: New Blood - Live in London.
The Criterion Collection releases Island of Lost Souls, Erle C. Kenton's adaptation of H.G. Wells' novel The Island of Dr. Moreau, Michelangelo Antonioni's Identification of a Woman and a Blu-ray edition of Dazed and Confused.
Other Blu-ray releases include one of my favorite films of all time, The Conversation.
The documentary The People Vs George Lucas examines the cultural legacy of the Star Wars creator and filmmaker.
Television highlights include Barney Miller: The Complete Series and the BBC police drama Luther: Season 2.
