This Week's Interesting DVD Releases - September 18, 2012
The Criterion Collection releases three films this week, David Fincher's The Game and two Marcel Carne films, Les visiteurs du soir and Children of Paradise.
Two standout television releases are the sitcom Get A Life: The Complete Series, starring Chris Elliot, and the 3-CD box set Steve Martin: The Television Stuff collects the comedian/actor/writer's television specials, commercials, and guest appearances.
Other television DVDs in stores this week are Supernatural: The Complete Seventh Season, The Mentalist: The Complete Fourth Season, and Modern Family: The Complete Third Season.
Shakespeare High is a documentary about a legendary California high school theater competition. Speaking of the Bard, Orson Welles' Macbeth is finally available on DVD.
Documentaries include Patience (After Sebald) explores the life and work of author W.G. Sebald, Adventures in Plymptoons!, a profile of cartoonist Bill Plympton, and Ice-T's Art of Rap.
Indiana Jones: The Complete Adventures collects Blu-ray editions of all four films in the series.
