This Week's Interesting Music Releases - October 9, 2012

AC Newman

New Pornographer AC Newman's new solo album Shut Down the Streets is in stores tomorrow.

Fall means strong new album lists, and this week that is definitely the case. Among the releases, I can strongly recommend Django Django's Django Django, Freelance Whales' Diluvia, Kaki King's Glow, Metz's Metz, Tame Impala's Lonerism, and Ty Segall's Twins.

Eleven Beach Boys albums have been remastered, and each is packaged with both the mono and stereo versions. A new greatest hits package from the band, Fifty Big Ones is also available this week.

What new releases are you picking up this week? What can you recommend? Have I left anything noteworthy off the list?
