This Week's Interesting Music Releases - October 30, 2012
Psychedelic Pill is the first album of new music by Neil Young and Crazy Horse in over a decade.
Andrew Bird's Hands of Glory (a companion album to his Break It Yourself release), Cody ChesnuTT's Landing on a Hundred, and Lulu Gainsbourg's From Gainsbourg to Lulu are other albums I can wholeheartedly recommend.
Among the week's many holiday offerings are Tracey Thorn's Tinsel and Lights and the compilation Holidays Rule, which includes tracks by Paul McCartney, the Shins, and others.
Classical music fans should appreciate the 42-CD box set Glenn Gould: Complete Bach Collection.
Reissues include two Velvet Underground box sets, the 6-CD The Velvet Underground and Nico 45th Anniversary Box Set and the 5-disc The Verve/MGM Albums.
