In the weekly Atomic Books Comics Preview, Benn Ray highlights notable new comics and graphic novels.
Benn Ray is the owner of Atomic Books, an independent bookstore in Baltimore. The Mobtown Shank is his blog, and his comic Said What? is syndicated weekly in the Baltimore Sun's B-Paper.
Atomic Books has been named one of Bizarre Magazine's 51 geekiest places on the planet, as well as one of Flavorwire's 10 greatest comic and graphic novel stores in America.
Glorkian Warrior Delivers A Pizza
by James Kochalka
Kochalka's back with a fun, all-ages story (which is right in his wheelhouse) about a galactic pizza delivery man and his talking backpack.
Jan's Atomic Heart And Other Stories
by Simon Roy
Half of the team that's made Image's Prophet series a hit delivers this collection of short comics stories - loaded with odd aliens. While Roy's awesome artwork might be the lure for many, his space stories are also pretty cool.
Occupy Comics

Sandman Overture #2

So some deadlines were missed, well, the new issue of Sandman is here now, and it's gorgeous. Almost overwhelmingly so.
Silver Surfer #1
by Dan Slott / Michael Allred
Marvel restarts their Silver Surfer series, this time with Mike Allred doing the art (a stroke of genius, really). Slott's story captures the pop spirit of Allred's art - and the art really makes this book fun - there are times when the page almost seems too small to contain everything going on.
