52 Down, 0 To Go (52 Books, 52 Weeks)
I am embarassed to admit that before this year, I had never read anything by Chris Ware. ACME Novelty Library is my first exposure to this talented comic artist, and I was very impressed. A collection of one-page cartoons from his comics, the book is wonderfully bound in an oversized 9 1/4" x 15 1/4" binding that gives the comics room to come alive. Dark humor abounds, and Ware's skills as an artist are estimable. This book was a grand introduction to Ware's body of work, and after reading ACME Novelty Library, I will be hunting down the rest of his works.
Year two of my 52 Books, 52 Weeks project is officially over.
