A. Kendra Greene‘s collection No Less Strange or Wonderful is filled with magnificent essays that examine the world in all its fascinating facets large and small.
Melissa Fraterrigo’s memoir-in-essays The Perils of Girlhood moves from an ’80s childhood to motherhood with both intimacy and a precision of language that makes the book hard to put down.
The essays in Giaae Kwon’s I’ll Love You Forever powerfully illustrate the power of fandom and how music (and our love for music ) is indelibly woven into our identity.
Jeannie Vanasco’s memoir A Silent Treatment is a captivating account of the how painful (and powerful) withholding communication can be to a family.
Jesse James Rose’s sorry i keep crying during sex is heartrending memoir that wields its vulnerability and dark humor to profound effect.
Rasheedah Phillips’s Dismantling the Master’s Clock brilliantly explores the history of time through the lens of racial justice.
